TimeWave Attends the 65th Anniversary Celebration of Somalia's Independence, Co-drawing a New Blueprint for China-Somalia Cooperation

On June 30, 2025, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Somalia in China held a grand celebration for the 65th anniversary of Somalia's independence in Beijing. As an important sponsoring enterprise of the event, Xu Chen, Chairman, and Yang Gang, General Manager of Wuhan TimeWave Network Technology Co., Ltd., personally attended the ceremony, joining representatives from Chinese and Somali political and business circles to witness a milestone moment in bilateral cooperation.


The event was filled with a warm atmosphere, gathering diplomatic envoys from multiple countries, corporate representatives, and heads of international organizations. The delegation from TimeWave had in-depth exchanges with leaders of several Somali power and energy companies, discussing cooperation opportunities in fields such as power infrastructure construction, intelligent energy management systems, and communication network upgrades, injecting new momentum into practical China-Somalia cooperation.


Xue Bing, Special Envoy for Affairs of the Horn of Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attended and delivered a speech, stating that under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Mahmoud, political trust between China and Somalia has continued to deepen, practical cooperation has advanced steadily, and people-to-people exchanges have unceasingly deepened. China is willing to work with Somalia to follow the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, jointly implement the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, and better benefit the people of both countries.

H.E. Ambassador of Somalia to China, Hodan, spoke highly of Somalia-China relations, noting that China has always been a trusted strategic partner of Somalia. She expressed gratitude for China's long-term valuable support for Somalia's development and stated that Somalia is willing to work with China to implement the summit outcomes, tap cooperation potential, and continuously enrich the connotations of the Somalia-China strategic partnership.


As a technology enterprise with deep roots in the African market, TimeWave demonstrated its technical advantages in energy digital management, power infrastructure construction, and other fields at the event. It was revealed on-site that the company has reached preliminary cooperation intentions with multiple Somali institutions and will carry out practical cooperation in projects such as smart grid transformation and construction in the future, contributing Chinese solutions to Somalia's digital transformation and infrastructure modernization.


This celebration not only witnessed the 65th anniversary of Somalia's independence but also served as an important platform for China and Somalia to deepen strategic trust and expand practical cooperation.
