Wuchang Polytechnic College is a full-time ordinary vocational college approved by the People's Government of Hubei Province and filed by the Ministry of Education. It is located in the hinterland of Wuhan Optical Valley, near the Tangxun Lake. It covers an area of 861 mu and has 14000 students. In 2018, it was awarded "Wuhan National Defense Education Base" and "Hubei National Defense Education Base".

The functions of remote power-on and power-off, time-sharing power supply, load identification, data summary and report export are realized by time-wave energy supervision platform. Students can use the mobile phone wechat for volume inquiry and pre-payment recharge.
