Wuhan Huaxia University of Technology is an ordinary university approved by the Ministry of Education. It is a pilot unit for transformation and development in Hubei Province and a member of the National Alliance of Applied Technology Universities. The school was founded in December 2003, formerly known as Huaxia College of Wuhan University of Technology, and officially renamed as Wuhan Huaxia Institute of Technology in May 2016. As of December 2020, the school has Moonlight Valley Campus and wutong Lake Campus. It covers an area of 1550 mu.

The functions of remote power-on and power-off, time-sharing power supply, load identification, data summary and report export are realized by TimeWave energy supervision platform. Students can use the mobile phone's WeChat for volume inquiry and pre-payment recharge.
